As the Southeast grapples with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we take this moment to express how much each of you—students, 教师, 工作人员, 家庭, 和 alumni—means to us. Our hearts go out to those still without power 和 access to basic necessities 和 to those who have lost homes, 企业, 和生计. The devastation this storm has caused is unimaginable, 和 we are committed to supporting you in the days 和 weeks ahead.
We want to recognize the incredible resilience shown by our community during this difficult time. We are especially grateful to the utility workers who restored power to our campus 和 to our dedicated 工作人员, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that events like the Campus Tour of Arts 和 our athletics programs continue as planned. This has allowed us to resume normal operations quickly 和 provide a sense of stability for our students.
We are also mindful that many of our friends 和 家庭 connected to the College have been affected far more severely than what we experienced on campus. 下面, we’ve provided a list of resources – both on-campus 和 virtual – that are available in this time of need.
- The Columbia College 咨询 & Case Management team offers free counseling 和 case management services to full-time CC students to address various personal concerns. To schedule an appointment, 点击这里.
- The Koala Boutique 和 Pantry provide valuable resources for students on campus. The Koala Boutique (Student Union B101) is a free store for all students in need of clothing 和 household goods. The Pantry, located in Harrelson 205, offers free food 和 hygiene products to students in need.
